Zaatar wo Zeit - This is how you eat Zaatar!
#TasteOfHome When I first came to the UK, I was shocked to see that they sell zaatar in a small spices jar here at the supermarket just like paprika or black pepper. Zaatar in Lebanon and the Levant is not just a spice we buy in jars, it's a main ingredient. We prepare it in bulk and store it away in the kitchen cupboards in kilograms!
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Simply add the zaatar in a bowl. Here's some Zaatar I brought with me from Lebanon. It tastes like love because my mum made it from scratch and added her magic to it! 💫
* Step 2
Find some good extra virgin olive oil (I don't recommend the cheap supermarket ones). This olive oil you see in the photo below is the best ever! It's made from olives picked by my mum and family members back in the village in Lebanon.
* Step 3
Now add the olive oil next to the zaatar or right on top of it. Dip your bread in the olive oil then in the zaatar and enjoy!!
