#mukhwas #superfoods #seeds Being a nutritionist, I always try out recipes where maximum Superfoods can be included. In this recipe of Mukhwas , which is an a part of Indian heritage foods and which aids in digestion when eaten after meals, I have included lots of seeds which are called Superfoods due to their anti-oxidant , Anti ageing and immunity booster properties. These seeds are rich in minerals, proteins, vitamins, protein and most importantly, they have lots of fiber to aid digestion. It can be stored in an airtight jar for several weeks. Enjoy.

Ingredient

Food ration :

10 servings

Cooking time :

overnight
1/2 cup

Flax seeds

1/4 cup

Chia seeds

1/2 cup

Sesame seeds

1 tablespoon

Sweet fennel seeds

2 tablespoons

Salt

1 tablespoon

Turmeric powder

4 tablespoons

Lemon juice

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

First, sieve all the seeds to remove any impurities. Then in a big bowl, mix all the seeds, except sweet fennel seeds.

Then mix in salt, turmeric, lemon juice and stir very well to incorporate all the flavours and ingredients.

Keep tightly covered overnight. Then roast on slow flame till crispy.

Alternatively, you can roast in microwave on low power while stirring in between. The colour should change to golden and texture is crisp.

Then cool the mixture and add rest of ingredients and seeds. Store in a tight jar and enjoy for weeks.
