Black Masoor Dal

Black masoor or kali masoor dal is a vegan,gluten free and very delicious in taste.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
First, wash and soaked the dal in water for half an hour. then take the dal in a pressure cooker add bay leaf, sliced onion, tamarind, and powder spices along with salt. add 1 cup water and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
* Step 2
Open the cooker mash the dal with a masher. then add water as desired consistency. at this time check the salt and boil the dal for 4-5 minutes. discard the tamarind piece. transfer the dal in a serving bowl.
* Step 3
Now for preparing the tempering take tadka pan to add oil. when oil is heated add sliced onion when onion turns light brown adds cumin seeds, curry leaves, and broken red Chilli. When onion turns golden brown turn off the flame and pours this tempering into cooked dal
* Step 4
Now add mint leaves and cumin powder.mix gently. the delicious dal is ready to serve with roti and dal.
