Karachi road side Sev chaat

#Starambassador #CPL #Karachi It is one of my go-to snacks with evening chai and reminds me of the street-side sev that we had during our school or college days. I keep a ready-made sev mix pack stocked in my pantry and freeze the chaat chutneys that way I can whip up sev quickly when cravings hit. Sev is a popular snack food in sub continent consisting of small pieces of crunchy noodles made from chickpea flour paste, which are seasoned with turmeric, cayenne, and ajwain before being deep-fried in oil. These noodles vary in thickness Sev chat is made by tossing together crunchies (namkeen) like crushed papdi, masala chana dal (spicy fried split chickpeas), veggies like onion, tomato, flavored with chaat masala, and finally garnished with lots of cilantro add sev (fried thin gram flour noodles). Local vendor add cabbage instead of onion in sev chaat.
