Cooking instructions
* Step 1
To make paan shots Drink, you need Calcutta paan fresh leaves which are dark green in colour.
* Step 2
Use paan masala which consists of dried coconut shavings, gulkhand, sweet candied cherries,cardamom & may other ingredients. Do not use cherries here. You will get all this from a paanwala store.
* Step 3
Take a blender jar and add the betel leaves by tearing them into small pieces.
* Step 4
Now add the paan masala to this.
* Step 5
Now we add the gulkhand. Gulkhand is a paste made with fresh roses for their sweet and unique taste. In case you don't find gulkhand, you can use a combination of sugar and rose syrup but that will not taste like gulkhand.
* Step 6
Now add the fennel seeds. This is an important ingredient to get the proper taste of the paan
* Step 7
Add the ice cubes as well.tlThis will not only make the paan shot mixture cold but it will also impart to its texture.
* Step 8
Finally add the ice cream now.This gives the creamy texture and a little sweet taste to the paan shot. you can also use full fat milk for a creamier taste as well.
* Step 9
Close the lid of the mixture and blend all the ingredients till you get a smooth mixture
* Step 10
Remove the mixture in a glass jar and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. This is important as this helps the flavours of all the ingredients of the paan shot drink come together.
* Step 11
Pour equal quantities into 12 shot glasses. Garnish the paan shot with almond and pistachio slivers or the paan masala if you like.
* Step 12
Serve the paan shots Drink chilled.
