Gulgula recipe | Jaggery Sweet dumpling | Gur ke Gulgule
#Gulgula #2020favpopular sweet and savoury snack recipe made with wheat flour and jaggery. the recipe is basically an extension to the popular malpua recipe where the same batter is used to make a deep-fried ball-shaped snack. it is generally served as a snack by itself but also tastes great when served with a choice of spicy chutney.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
1. firstly, in a large bowl take 240 gram jaggery and ½ glass water.
* Step 2
2. whisk and dissolve the jaggery.
* Step 3
3. now add wheat flour, 1 tsp fennel, salt,seasome seed (white till), coconut powder and milk, baking soda.
* Step 4
4. mix well making sure all the spices are well combined.
* Step 5
5. further, add ½ cup more water and mix well.
* Step 6
6. beat for 2 minutes or until the batter turns smooth and silky.
* Step 7
7. cover and rest for 30 minutes or more to get soft and fluffy gulgula.
* Step 8
8. after 30 minutes, beat the batter again for a minute making sure the batter has enough airy texture.
* Step 9
9. dip the hand in the water and scoop a tbsp of batter.
* Step 10
10. drop into hot oil making sure a round ball-sized shaped is attained.
* Step 11
11. stir occasionally and fry on medium flame until it turns dark golden brown.
* Step 12
12. drain off making sure all the oil is drained off.
* Step 13
13. finally, enjoy gulgula hot or store in an airtight container and have for 2-3 days.
