Goan Prawn Curry

Goan Prawn Curry

#hnv It is a tangy and spicy Goan curry made with prawns, spices and coconut milk.

Ingredient

Lemon Juice

1 inch

ginger

3 tbsp

as per taste

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Clean the prawns and add salt, turmeric powder and lemon juice and marinate for 10 minutes

* Step 2

Now grind cumin seeds, coriander seeds, peppercorns, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, garlic, kashmiri red chillies in a blender and blend to make a smooth paste.

* Step 3

Heat oil in a pan. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated prawns and fry and keep aside.

* Step 4

In the remaining oil, add onion and saute, add tomato ketchup and cook for 2-3 minutes.

* Step 5

Now add the ground masala paste, salt tamarind paste and water cook for 5 minutes.

* Step 6

Add coconut milk, and  prawns and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with rice.
