Custard

Did learn how too make homemade custard through the collection of IMP (International Masters of Publisher's),Cookery Cards - known as 1001 Recipes for Pan or Wok and some Cookery Cards from the IMP - those known as Grandma's Kitchen. Custard can be turned into a Ice-cream,bananas and custard makes a nice dessert - so does Rhubarb and Custard - custard is nice on a steamed sweet Pudding,a raw meringue mix can poach nicely in a custard,can make Custard Tarts - and custard is nice in a Trifle.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat milk in a saucepan on a Gas Cooker's hob,separate egg yolks from the egg white's - mix all the egg yolks together,add the sugar too the egg yolks.

* Step 2

Pour hot milk over the sugary egg yolks and keep stirring with a wooden spoon - bring everything back too the saucepan and keep stirring with the wooden spoon on a very gentle simmer, take off the heat if you must and keep stirring - too stop the custard from curdling.

* Step 3

The custard is done, when you can coat the back of the wooden spoon with the custard and you can draw a line with your finger through the custard on the back of the wooden spoon.Serve hot, or let it get cold, before storing it, in the Fridge, or in the Freezer for Ice-cream.
