Kashmiri Dum Aloo
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Boil potatoes with some salt and peel the potatoes and prick it with a toothpick. Take them in a bowl and add salt and red chilli powder and rub it well.
* Step 2
Fry the potatoes till they turn into a golden brown colour, keep them aside.
* Step 3
De-seed red chillies and soak them in hot water. Grind them to a fine paste. Whisk curd along with the ground masala powder and dry ginger powder.
* Step 4
Heat some oil and add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and asafoetida and stir well. Add the whisked curd mixture and bring it to a boil. Add fried potatoes and close cook until potatoes are tender.
* Step 5
Finally add kasuri methi and turn off the stove. Serve it hot with roti, naan or rice.
