Mixed Dal Tadka

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Soak the mixed dal overnight. Clean, wash and pressure cook with turmeric and salt.
* Step 2
In a wok heat oil. Add bay leaf, hing, panch phoron and splutter them.
* Step 3
Add chopped onion and cook till translucent.
Mix ginger, garlic, chopped tomatoes and adjust the salt.
* Step 4
Cover and cook in low flame till tomatoes are soft and mushy, and oil is separated.
* Step 5
Add cumin powder, coriander powder, crushed kasoori methi, curry powder, and garam masala powder and 1 tbsp of water. Cook in low flame till oil separates.
* Step 6
Mix the boiled mixed dal with cooked masala properly. Adjust the gravy by adding warm water and cook for 3 minutes.
* Step 7
Mixed dal tadka is ready to serve.
