Lollipops take us into our childhood. They are easy to make at home, children and grown ups both love them! As this is the season of makar sankranti, I have added the calcium,protein and iron richness of sesame seeds/ til seeds to these lollipops. Best wishes to all of you for Makar Sankranti! Enjoy!

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
First, take a saucepan. Add sugar and keep it to melt on low flame. Side by side, line a tray with parchment paper or silicone mat. Grease the paper. Spread the sesame seeds on the greased paper. Arrange toothpicks on the seeds with a distance between them to hold the lollipops.
* Step 2
When sugar melts, add the essence and colour. Keep stirring constantly with a wooden stick or chopsticks.
* Step 3
When sugar starts caramelising, add a drop of syrup in a bowl of water. Check if it breaks. If it is still soft, cook for a few seconds more.
* Step 4
If it breaks, immediately take out from flame and pour on the sesame seeds, making sure that the toothpick is in centre and liquid holds it, in small circular shapes. Use the wooden stick to give shape.
* Step 5
Keep them to harden for 5 to 10 minutes. Then slowly remove from paper and the lollipops are ready to serve.
