Homemade milk cream/ Malai

1 cup

Milk powder (not dairy whitener)

2 cups

Milk

2 tablespoons

Cornflour

1/2 cup

or add some more if desired Sugar

1/4 tsp

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

First, take a thick based saucepan or kadhai. Add all the ingredients one by one. All ingredients should be chilled.

* Step 2

Whisk everything well so that there are no lumps. Then keep the pan on low flame and stir constantly while the mixture thickens.

* Step 3

When the mixture thickens, bubbles will form at the sides. Keep stirring with a whisk or spatula.

* Step 4

Within 5 minutes, the required thickness will be reached by the mixture. Switch off the flame and cool on the counter while stirring continuously. Keep stirring for 2 minutes. If the mixture looks too thick, add warm milk. Then pour it into a glass jar and use as needed. Store in refrigerator after cooled and use within 3 days.
