Assorted Soft Dinner Rolls

#special #cookpadindia Absolute baking fun and very very easy to make, no need to crave for these beauties from the bakeries or the departmental stores when you can make them in the comfort of your homes and that too with the perfect results as well. You can stuff them up with any of your favourite things. I have used Chicken cubes as well as Mince along with Mozzarella Cheese. And also have done it in different shapes. That's the beauty of these lovely looking Buns or Dinner Rolls. These can be relished for Dinner with some piping hot Soup alongside or on their own with some of your favourite Dips. The choice is endless. You can also enjoy these with Green Dahi wali Chutney just as with Barbecue. It tastes awesome. Enjoy!

Ingredient

Food ration :

6-7 servings

Cooking time :

35-40 minutes
1 tbsp

Sugar

3 tsp

Yeast

2 tbsp

Milk powder

1 1/2 cups

lukewarm Milk

2 tbsp

Olive Oil

2-3 tbsp

Tomato paste

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

For the dough, you need to first soak the yeast in warm milk along with sugar and let it activate.

* Step 2

Add this frothy yeast mix to the flour, milk powder, and salt mix. Throw in some olive oil and make a smooth dough out of it.

* Step 3

Cover it and let it rest for almost 2 hours in a warm place in your kitchen. If it's cold in your place, plug in your oven and preheat for almost 5 minutes and switch it off, then keep this in the oven.

* Step 4

After 2 hours, punch the dough so that all the excess air is let out. Divide it into 18 balls and roll them into small discs.

* Step 5

Stuff them up with the chicken filling and seal them nicely and shape them into balls and other assorted shapes as seen in the pics. Throw in some cheese too.

* Step 6

Arrange them on the greased baking tray and cover nicely and let it rest again for the second proofing for at least 30 to 40 minutes. This step is important. You should never skip it.

* Step 7

For the chicken filling. Saute all the masalas and the chicken until done for not more than 10-15 minutes. It is enough as we are going to bake also. So if you cook more, the chicken will not be juicy.

* Step 8

After 40 minutes of second proofing, bake them in a preheated fan-assisted oven at 180° for 15 to 18 minutes. Give the buns a milk wash and sprinkle some sesame seeds on top. After done, brush some melted butter on top after they are done.

* Step 9

Serve these scrumptious buns as an appetizer at a party or a weekend dinner at home with family and a few close-knit friends.
